Was this song a hit in the UK? Absolutely love it, myself:
At the time this was the most successful Australian single of all time inside Australia, until overtaken a few years later by John Farnham’s “You’re the Voice”.
That’s “Australian” as in “produced in Australia”. The band, of course, were from New Zealand.
