Getting Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty out of cold storage was a bad idea huh

Feel dead bad for both La La Land and Moonlight there, what a shambles. So glad it won though, it’s a special, special film.

Think that’s the most I’ve agreed with the main awards ever tbh.

Reliably awful man in reliably awful take shock: http://blogs.spectator.co.uk/2017/02/oscar-goes-toanyone-provided-theyre-not-white-heterosexual-male/

Interesting how Best Film/Best Director splits only happened about once a decade between the 50s and the early 2000s and now they seem to happen almost every year.

Fair chance I won’t see a better film than Moonlight this year. If not it’ll mean the Best Picture Oscar’s gone to what I thought was the best film also 2 years in a row. Not sure that’s ever happened. At least not since the Titanic and Shakespeare In Love double-header.

Mrs is ‘off sick’ today. Texting me every 30 mins to see if I’ve downloaded it for her to watch yet.

won’t someone please think of the white heterosexual males

They just can’t get a break in Hollywood.

So… was it the wrong card that was in the envelope? Like someone behind the scenes fucked up and then Beatty was just like “well, kinda have to read this” and then how did they work out that it was meant to be Moonlight instead? Did someone backstage come on and shout “no, wait, we’ve fucked it” ??

Because the piece of card in the envelope has the category, as well as the winner on it.

He was given the card for the wrong category, I think.
