2018 albums hype

Seems like lots of stuff is being announced for release early next year - what’s everyone feeling juiced for?

Khruangbin and Field Music for me

Kings of Convenience (hopefully!) and Field Music mainly.

Dawnwalker - Human Ruins (Jan 1st)

Sigh… The Wrens

Rolo Tomassi - Time Will Die And Love Will Bury It

Jesus, come ON! Has to come out sometime

Ought’s the only one I can think of in the definite category. I thought the new Modest Mouse was coming out in both 2016 and 2017, so ideally that too.

The Orielles

Some new Grouper wouldn’t go a miss! But aye dead excited too for Field Music’s Open Here.

This thread is as bad as Christmas decorations in supermarkets in October

Also, My Bloody Valentine

Open Hand - Weirdo, and Will Haven’s new album, and probably tons of other albums I’m too tired to think of right now.

My Vitriol - Finelines II

Fatima :bangbang::bangbang::bangbang:

The Twilight Sad
? Not sure if next year is going to be quite as packed as this year has been.

Tentatively hoping Owen Pallett is actually going to get Island out next year, but I’ve been hurt before.

The Breeders
Hot Snakes (on Sub Pop)

Oh, and it looks like it’s going to be a productive year from Steve Hartlett - there’s a new Stove album coming, and possibly an Ovlov one too.

Zak Sally’s The Hand also has a new one coming. I’m really excited for that one, Volume 3 from this year is fantastic.
