Oh ill watch this for sure. lemme know if it’s worth it if you go in b4 me.

Yeah, definitely. Won’t be getting a look in 'til after Punisher Season 2 though.

ive heard s2 is better than the 1st. I had a hard time getting through the pilot. I’ve been watching the last kingdom. it’s pretty fun.

Even the fucking title is boring. I’ll watch an episode but I don’t expect much.

New Blockhead album is great. Loads of great guests - Vic Spencer, Tree, Armand Hammer, Open Mike Eagle, Aesop Rock… Breezly Brewin even pops up on a track!

Enjoying the Malibu Ken (Aesop Rock +Tobacco) album. Nice surprise release for me.

This is a brilliant listen! I wasn’t actually familiar with The House List 'til I saw someone tweet about this just before Xmas. Episode 100 is an old phone interview with MF DOOM from just before he released MM…FOOD - also excellent. Might start working through some of the others.

I was/am still a little skeptical of Gibbs even tho he beat the case but this is good to hear

(i think this interview is old but it’s new to me)

I’m a sucker for really well done bootlegs (Fela Soul and Wu-Tang vs the Beatles are two of my favourite rap albums) and this is in that category

Really digging this album. Arguably more than the last Aesop Rock album which was good but too similar in sound to Skelethon for me

Yeah, same here. Last album was definitely solid but washed over me a bit.

This new release also prompted me to dig out Bazooka Tooth which I think has aged really well.

I really like it. Am I alone in thinking it sounds really like Buck 65? Only thing of his I’ve heard though so maybe he is just a lot like Buck 65. @guntrip?

Only just listening to this now. Love Aesop Rock so much. He the best.

I can maybe see the Buck stuff as he’s got a pretty gravelly voice but I think he’s a much more technically proficient rapper.

Yeah fair enough. For me the whole style seemed quite similar but TBF it’s been probably 10 years since I listened to Buck 65

So I caught up with a couple albums I missed from last year, Pusha T’s Daytona and Saba’s Care For Me. Daytona’s a pretty cool listen, Kanye’s production is amazing; opening track and What would Meek do are highlights. Care For Me though is mesmerizing, flow, lyrics, delivery, beats, all flawless. Wish it hadn’t taken me so long to hear it

Most played album in our house/car at the moment is this…

Son was seriously into the movie, even though I’m pretty sure he didn’t know what was going on. Start a Riot and Way Up are his particular jams. I don’t particularly mind any of it tbh.

Semi-relevant to the thread, but he’s also started pointing out graf and saying “Miles Morales does that”. Might want to address that at some point…

that Swae Lee / Post Malone tune is an absolute belter not even ashamed to love it

your son might enjoy this clip of Swae Lee surprising some young buskers in Australia who were performing it

the best Dad’s only aspect of this is at 0:35 when they replace “she wants to ride me like a cruise” with “I want to give you an excuse” and the noise swae lee makes
