Feel like there’s loads of transfer business still to be done (or not done), not confident at all of predicting anything until the window closes.

…except that Chelsea are getting relegated.

These will all be wrong

no, i think you will find that it is Arsenal who will be relegated.

Contrary to your expressed view, I believe in fact it is far more likely that Chelsea are the ones who are to be relegated

I have to disagree with this and insist on my previous point.

GENERAL BIG SHOUTS: City haven’t adequately addressed where they fell short last season and it will be another season of clownshoes when it matters and glistening football when it doesn’t for them. Liverpool will fall off a fair bit but not enough for Chelsea - who look properly properly good now but are saddled with a dud manager - to catch them. Arsenal will do moderately well. Brendy Rodgers will be gone by Christmas.

At the other end Sheff Utd will sink but their success is built on Burnley-like foundations and I think they’ll have enough to survive this season. Villa should’ve been relegated last season and there isn’t much to suggest they’ve improved much. Leeds have been overhyped and their opening fixtures will prevent momentum, think it will be touch and go with them.

Cba to do it but Liverpool to win the PL again, West Ham definitely down, Brentford up and Argyle into the Championship via the play-offs.

CHAMPIONS: Man City
CL QUALIFIERS: Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal
RELEGATED: Fulham, West Brom, Newcastle
SURPRISE PACKAGES: not sure there will be one tbh
SURPRISE STRUGGLERS: would Sheff Utd being like 15th in a classic second season syndrome type way be a surprise?

GENERAL BIG SHOUTS: there will be an actual title battle between Man City and Liverpool as the latter’s level will drop slightly, with City edging it. otherwise it’ll be a pretty boring season with the usual suspects at the top, bottom and middle

It will be a 3 way battle for the PL between a slightly stale/underperforming Liverpool, an ‘at their (very high) level’ City squad that lack much depth and guile beyond the superstars & a hugely overperforming Chelsea who squid everyone into the ground. Right there for a while will be Ole’s Utd but ultimately neither he nor Lampard will succeed in getting the best out of their not-so-great performances whereas Liverpool & City will grind out boring wins

Could go either way as to whether the reds or blues lift the trophy depending on injuries and C19 stops & starts to the season

GENERAL BIG SHOUTS: Euro 2020 (2021) will have to take place behind closed doors

if Moyes goes before the season begins, can he really be the first departure for the season itself?

Think United will start like a house on fire and then drop off at the same rate Fernandes’s legs do. Chelsea to maybe do the opposite.
