It’s terrific - and pretty amazing to be making fresh, vibrant stuff so far into his career. He has such an ‘album’ mind if that makes sense. Like, his sequencing and ‘build’ throughout an album is always second to none. I know he’s a big reader, and a big fan of noir fiction especially, and I can just really hear that kind of structure and drama and suspense across his projects. Every single track is load-bearing and precisely where it should be/doing precisely what he wants it to. It’s a surprisingly rare gift, I think.

I had a new single on my Spotify release radar last year that made me assume something was on the way - ta for this.

Bit off topic but, has anybody else noticed that the price of vinyl seems to be dropping at the moment?

Just ordered Car Seat Headrest & Everything Is Recorded and they were only about £16 each. Has something changed seems to be less 2xLP’s at the moment for a start?

Thank feck.
Don’t worry though RSD will be right along to destroy bank balances soon

Doubt it there was only Otis Redding that I wanted last year and I still haven’t been able to get hold of it.

Something else that was interesting is the El-P reissue through vinyl, me please isn’t massively inflated on discogs. I’m wondering if the vinyl boom is coming to an end or at least slowing down.

Yeah.

The debut was one of my albums of the last dacade, so I’ve already sort of prepared myself that I’m going to be slightly disappointed with the follow up.

I really hope so.
It’s baffling. When it was less popular is was much cheaper. Now its popular its so much dearer. Economy of scale alone should at least be maintaining fairer prices. In 15 years 7"s went from being 1 or 2 quid to £10 - £15. That’s hyperinflation
New Anna Burch lp on preorder for £11.
Hope it’s a new trend tbh

New Mr.Bungle music in the works?

Glad her hair and her club vibes are back :+1:

March 27th not only Avery/Cortini and a new Jacaszek album but Sufjan and Lowell too

loving the runaround track, has vibes of the sisyphus album.

be interesting to see how this impacts prices

The main concern would be that majors already fuck over indies when it comes to pressing LPs so some indie labels and acts might end up in a position where stuff might be in a huge backlog.
