i’m gonna aim for physical and i should be able to, but may fall back on digital if time and resources become a problem

I think I’m going to give it a miss. I used to enjoy making these mixes a few years ago when I used to painstakingly download everything I liked to my computer. These days I just buy vinyl and save the equivalent albums on my Apple Music. Don’t think a physical mix is really something I can do these days without a lot of hassle,

I’m a Christmas INicorn

Although my printer seemed to give up the ghost earlier this year. I wonder if it’s magically healed itself yet…

I’d prefer to do a CD if that’s okay

Used to really enjoy these swaps, but can’t commit to it this time… unfortunately life is just too hectic atm.

If anyone knows how this could be done easily from a Spotify playlist (or if people wanted to change the rules to allow playlists), I’d be in, but I don’t have cd burning capability at the moment

Spotify playlist link sent privately to a dis member, decided by @funkycow might be the easiest most inclusive way for this in 2020 due to the COVID situation. Not meaning to interfere I’m easy either way.

have 21 tracks i’m happy with, but it would be much more satisfying for a 2020 mix to have 20 tracks. tough decisions to be made here.

Difficult year! Scrapped mix 1 entirely and drawn new tracks from many of the source albums, but still have three albums to try out before settling on the final selection. It doesn’t help that there is a lot of “mood” music on there which lends itself better to longform. Perhaps I should do a Songs/Instrumentals Lenker style double? (cheating, I won’t)…

think i’m sorted now. love when you feel like you’ve absolutely nailed the running order and how one track runs into the next

now i just need to see if i have any more blank CDs that work

I’m still maybe at about 30 tracks which I need to slowly go through and cut out tracks. So I’m listening through my 2020 albums again, although also listening to some that weren’t in the running and might have a couple of other songs to add to the list, Arg!

I have CDs, but my printer broke earlier in the year. So I’ve just bought a new printer, pretty much solely for my end of year CDs.

Still need to decide on and draw my album cover though.

i’m always a bit restricted by what i actually own rather than what i like but have only streamed i guess, i try not to go out of my way to acquire more than one or two extra tracks for the mix, so there’s stuff i’ve quite enjoyed this year missing by default anyway

Yeah, I was sort of worried that might happen with me streaming a lot more, but I try to buy the music that I really like (especially if they’re small artists) so that they get the money for it. And then definitely buying the album’s for music that I’ll want on my end of year cd. I think my end of year CDs are one of my main incentives to make sure I keep buying music!

Ha! I’m the same, I mainly bought my printer (a cheapo Canon) so I could print CD covers…

Final BUMP! Today is the deadline for being IN. I will put people together this weekend and then send you your alter ego and the name of your Secret Santa next Monday. Cheers all!

PS We have 12 participants so far. If you want to do a SPOTIFY PLAYLIST sent by anonymous PM (I will send the links on), then please PM me so that I can pair you up. If you DON’T want a Spotify playlist (for example, I’m not on Spotify), then PM me.

i bought mine for gig tickets and stuff, but then i started just discreetly using the office printer instead. will be interesting to see if my printer has any ink left, last year’s CD was probably the last time it got used

I assume you’ll need our addresses too? Or if you still have them then only if someone has changed addresses?

Due to GDPR I ate all the addresses .

Once I know who is receiving a physical copy I’ll PM the relevant DiSers…

Cheers!
