I don’t think I could realistically lose three stone this year (I know it is possible but I would not put the effort in) so I’m starting a Lose Half A Stone sub-chapter.

Stop snacking on endless sugary junk - cycling to work & gym visits are not going to prevent type 2 diabetes if I’m eating 2+ packs of hobnobs a week + opportunistic muffins at every available juncture (I am blessed with a metabolism that has not yet rendered me morbidly obese).

It has begun. Turns out nice snacks are actually nice.

i’ve got a goal weight i’d like to hit but don’t know how far away it is yet because i’m too scared to step on the scales after christmas

Walked to and from the pub tonight. Does that count??

Anyway, may get a MTB and get back into life with that, but who knows really

3 stone would get me to maybe 16, so yeah, that’s a start

Going to run tomorrow, run Saturday and play football Sunday before my first weigh in of the year I reckon

Hello

Good start to the year and I’m going to a GYM for the first time on Monday, how exciting/terrifying

My goal is to do a single pull-up by the end of the year. Should be achievable with the exercise I’m doing but losing weight will obviously make it easier. Don’t really want to go back to dieting though :woman_shrugging:t2:

My PT will be going on maternity this spring though so I need to be able to keep it up until she’s back, which I guess wouldn’t be until autumn/winter? I’m pretty good at self-motivating with exercise these days but I definitely take it easier when I’m training by myself.

Think losing a stone would be nice. Exercising in house was going OK but then I just stopped. Toying with the idea of running instead but I don’t know why I think this is more feasible given: scottish weather, my lack of suitable running gear and how it’ll destroy my knees. Feel like I’m setting myself up for disappointment here.

cycle to work at least once a week (ordering myself a new bike tomorrow!!!)
Run at least twice a week (just 5km or less)
Keep up the gym classes as much as possible

I’ve had to park most of my weight lifting goals last year as I am constantly pulling my chest out and that is not good for me. I’m not sure how much I can keep up with it tbh which is sad but I exercise for my MH only so just keeping things ticking over is good enough for me :+1:t2:

not bothering until end of Jan. just gonna go for it and hopefully get a nice surprise.

Democracy simply doesn’t work

Very much in. Working from home and just working too much I’ve neglected exercise and vaguely eating healthily for pretty much a year and it would be a very bad idea.

Think formulating some kind of routine and dedicated sleeping pattern’s the major first step.
Probably mean taking on less work and losing out on money but so be it.

make sure you get the ‘looking nothing on the home screen on your phone’ thing in between sets down 1st week.

Don’t know what this means but I cant wait til I do
