You’ll be golden. They’re usually people who walk most of it, people with kids, etc. Parkrun say that they pride themselves on the average time getting slower the more people join, as they’re all about inclusion.
It’s a lot of fun, and it’s just a race against yourself, and you’ll (hopefully) have a nice glow of a job done afterwards.
i’ve got a half marathon next weekend and i’m dangerously underprepared because of various injuries. some of you guys running 1:30s are incredible, be lucky if i waddle round in under two hours.
Which one? Hove lawns or Hove Park? Loads of people walk, and last year they were making Park Walk more of a thing. I’ll be back on it in April, after a break of far too long, so maybe I’ll join you on Hove Lawns one day - that’s a lovely one, nice and flat and right on the sea front
Also the slower you are, the harder it is as you’re out running longer! That was my view taking 5 hrs doing the London Marathon, cursing those who completed it in 3 hrs
Yep, @bluto. Two hours is so much faster than the majority of people could run a half marathon, don’t think I’ve ever run one where those doing it in that time aren’t in the top 50% of those running.
