Was intending to go, but my daughter was ill and to be honest I was relieved to have an excuse (though would have in hindsight preferred not to have shelled out in advance)

Last night. Brickhouse social Manchester. Had 5 (five) free drinks, paid for one, left at midnight, feel mostly fine today. 6/10, as good as could have been hoped for

Waterside Bistro, Totnes

Menu here

All food, all beer as long as it’s ours, wine

Around 25 I think, including the entire board for some reason this year

Free dinner so yeah

Until the taxi my boss has paid for arrives

If I had to pay for even one element of mine I wouldn’t go. It’s enough that I’m doing secret santa.

Virtual party. £15 voucher to order food. Maybe a few hundred. I’m technically going, as it’s in work time and I’ll join the call. I won’t be staying, is an opportunity to watch something/aimlessly scroll or read.

I better be going since I organised the thing

15 people for lunch, nothing comped - just pay for your own

maybe a few pints after with a selection of them

… not that thrilling eh

Mine is today. Had to pay £60 but get it paid back to me in the next pay.

Got a meeting with my 2 contractors in ipswich next week, they can take me out after if they want to keep getting work next year.
Obviously a joke as this would be against all our policies.

We were just gonna have some food in the office and then go for pints. Was kinda looking forward to a few pints actually.

It’s been cancelled because there’s a bus strike that day so people can’t get in.

Postponed to January I think, meaning it will probably just never happen.

loads of strikes gonna mess with people i think. ours is tomorrow and a few out-of-city have cancelled automatically coz it’ll be a nightmare getting home

Not going this year. For ages, I never went, but in the past 2/3 years, i’ve gone along after the meal part is done and just have a couple of drinks. But the people I get on with have been slowly leaving in the past year, so there’d only be 2 or 3 people I talk to going and they’re much more social than I am, so i’d just be sitting there on my own and I’d rather not tbh.

if my partner wasn’t invited this would increasingly be me tbh
