Felt a bit slight on first listen but really burrowing its way into me - can’t stop listening. I like Ghettoville but this seems to be hitting that moody/greyscale vibe that was reaching for.

Keeley Forsyth and Alison Cotton honourable mentions. There’s new albums from Sumac and Alora Crucible soon which are pretty big contenders for me.

I’d never listened to Pissed Jeans before so maybe I’m off base here, but this new one feels like an instant punk rock classic. It’s an absolute blast. Can’t believe how little attention it’s been getting on here.
Also want to give a special shout out to the new Alkaline Trio album. It’s legitimately great and I can’t stop listening to it.

Lana’s Country album and Confidence Man in the latter half of 2024 are in good condition to top my EOY list though looking at what’s due. If Connor pulls his finger out before Christmas that’ll be grand too.
