Dear friends, I have something for you. My new album is called Tremor and it will be out on Domino Records on 31st Oct. The first single Rapture In Blue is out today, featuring the celestial voice of Cecile Believe and guitars from Ride/Oasis legend Andy Bell.
Also joining me on the album are Alison Mosshart, Walter Schreifels (Quicksand/Rival Schools), bdrmm, Julie Dawson (NewDad), yeule, Ellie, Art School Girlfriend and yunĆØ pinku, alongside longtime collaborators James Greenwood and Manni Dee. Each artist leaves their mark, yet the recordās true power lies in the communal spirit. Since the earliest recordings, Tremor felt like a studio in the sky, a space in time through which we could all pass as artists. Itās the welcoming spirit of acid house with the doors flung open to allow in every influence from my musical life: the warmth of distortion, the stillness inside intensity, the transcendental beauty of noise. They have always been there in my music but now it feels like those ideas are being transmitted in Technicolor. This is a record for the post-rave comedown kids, the guitar heads and anyone else who wants to come for the ride. Everyone is welcome.
The album was mixed by sonic visionaries Alan Moulder (Smashing Pumpkins, Nine Inch Nails) and David Wrench (FKA twigs, Frank Ocean), and mastered by Heba Kadry - each a vital pillar.
Tremor will be available in: Standard black double LP in gatefold sleeve, Indies exclusive red double LP in gatefold sleeve, Domino Mart and D2C exclusive, limited edition red double LP housed in a Tremor PVC sleeve with signed insert, CD, Cassette. All formats available to pre-order now.
