Saw an old Wedding Present video on an old TOTP last night, so I stuck Tommy on this morning, for the first time in probably 15 years. Great fun - that helter skelter choppy guitar thing they did back then is such a joy.

Going to see both Lankum and The Beths this week so listening to a lot of both of those, quite the contrast!

Still catching up on new music from weeks ago
Also listened to the Apple Music Stax Records playlist during the weekend. The Outkast Best Song thread got me reading old articles and wikis and I read that Stax was a big influence on them when they started self producing.
Just recorded episode sixteen of The Mire, it’s a goodie if I say so myself!

Had this song in my head the last few days, probably because of nice weather. Have today off too which is nice.
Nice sunny day, been working out in the garden today with some Oh Sees and Royal Trux for entertainment. Sure the neighbours were loving it

Woke up this morning from a dream in which I was listening to Neil Young’s Sleeps with Angels. Such a great album, sometimes I even think it’s his best. Murky, beautiful doom.

Watching the clip of Royal Blood being pissy little trust fund babies at the Radio 1 Big Weekend and cringing myself inside out.

Almost every time my neighbor’s got music on outside it’s CCR, Lynyrd Skynyrd, or the like. Don’t know why I feel bad putting on anything at a volume higher than a whisper. Would put on Oh Sees for sure.

not a name I really follow anymore but there’s some nice music on that Moderat album from last year. so there is.

Stumbled across this gem today. Had never heard of artist. Popped up after hearing a record on Spotify and it played a similar artist. Wonderful neo-psychedelia, ska with a 60’s feel.
