Well, that was really, really fucking good wasn’t it?

Find me a better night’s entertainment than that for twenty quid.

Absolutely lovely.

i text my mate who put me onto them like 20 years ago to tell him they’re the best band in the world. he was just like oh yeah i’ve not listened to them in ages :man_shrugging:

Deserved a bigger crowd really, although it didn’t spoil my enjoyment.

Just flicking through the new century’s listings on the way home and Baxter Dury can sell it out but probably only 1/3 full tonight…baffling. I mean I like Baxter Dury tbf but still

That’s really sad to hear it wasn’t well attended. Maybe everyone else’s starter motor decided to die on them at the last second as well.

I enjoyed seeing my favourite band at their recital this evening. I feel wistful and nostalgic and grateful.

feeling a bit foolish reading these reviews. I normally absolutely would’ve gone to Manchester or Glasgow but I think I was slightly put off because I’m not massively fussed about that album in comparison to their others. obviously I now realise I would’ve had a great time anyway, particularly if they did a greatest hits bit at the end. foolish.

really, really hope they keep playing together. they’re so good

Lol, Chipzel is from my hometown and was a year or two below me in school, don’t really know her personally but her and an old school friend I haven’t seen in years went out for a long time, think she’s still friends with some other people I know.

I’d completely forgotten about her and her chiptune stuff but one of my friends travelled over to London for this tour and told me she was supporting and we both found it incredibly surreal.

Hadn’t realised chiptune was still a thing

Good. Have a great night.

New Century was perhaps a tad ambitious? Something like 1300 capacity isn’t it? I guessed about 400-500 in

I made the tactical error of being a bit late and not finding parking, so power walked half a mile before getting into the human gloop! Absolutely dying now. Never actually heard this album before - the end was colossal!

Warm, innit?

Corduroy was a drastically bad choice! Kept seeing the bassist’s hair moving and crying internally for a cool waft to blow my way!

Damn that was great

she was really good fun, it was quite funny that she was basically playing a gameboy on this huge stage but she looked like she was having a whale of a time
