Playing George Michael this morning, which felt like a real surprise.
Have listened to a bit of Huey over on Virgin radio a couple of times. Doesn’t seem shy about putting the boot into the Beeb now that he’s out. And a lot of sucking up to Chris Evans.
Sounds like it was a request from the actor guest.
Aw, poor Huey. Maybe Virgin Radio have told him he can be patronising and rude to women, unlike the mean old BBC.

first thing I hear is some clip of one of the happy mondays or something saying something about the 80s, another mancunian with ‘the people are just different here’ and Mark Radcliffe introducing a series on music from Manchester.
