Only if there are biscuits.
Australia have lost 5 in a row, this most recent one probably the worst of the lot. Beaten by an innings in less than 2.5 days play, all out for 85 in the first innings, lost 8-32 in the second, against a team missing ABD and Steyn. Coach and captain in crisis, systemic failures in the domestic setup.
If youāll permit me for just a momentā¦ AHAHAHAHAHAHA! HA! Perhaps the world isnāt doomed after all.
The only disappointment is that Steve Smith wasnāt out for a duck in both inningsā¦
Whatās caused this rot - have people stopped naming their children Mitch, or is there a deeper underlying cause?
Mitchell Extras just isnāt getting the runs anymore.
NYAHAHAHAHAHA
Listening to Warney and Healy commentating while suffering through an innings defeat.
Lovely stuff
*Mitchell mennie
Caught a bit of the BT highlights this evening. Ricky Ponting sat between Vaughan and Swann while they merrily pick apart everything thatās wrong with Australiaās team with barely suppressed smirks. Ponting with a resigned smile that said āI am going to go out and murder a living creature when I am released from this living hellā. Fun, would recommend.
Rod Marsh resigned!
On a separate note, has anyone noticed how odious the Guardianās australian cricket guy is? Russell Jackson or something similar. First noticed him when he wrote a piece after Oz got beat 5-0 in the ODIs in South Africa, basically saying no-one cares about away ODIs, the thrashing wasnāt a concern really. Then noticed him in the obo - is he looking at the oz batting collapse? No, heās focusing on Aleem Darās decision making every over (even when Dar was at square leg), seemingly blaming him for the state of Australian cricket. Pathetic. If heās reflective of the aussieās cricket fanbase, they deserve what theyāre getting.
That article is all over the place. Simultaneously praising and deriding Cook and Hameed, defending the āAustralian Wayā all teary-eyed and backing it up with immediately refutable wild generalisations.
For example: āTest cricket in India is, and always has been, so weighted in batsmenās favour that the side that has lost the toss is seeking a stalemate from that point.ā
Australiaās last tour of India: Played 4, tosses won 4, lost 4. Highest Australian total: 408.
Bellend.
Oh my days, that is precious :') - a winning draw? After the shambles of the second bangladesh test? NO, I MUST WORSHIP AT THE ALTAR OF WARNE AND CRITICISE COOK. 99.99% this guy would be criticising England if theyād come out aggressive, got skittled for under 100 additional runs and handed all the momentum to India, lose or draw. Which essentially makes him the worst type of analyst of decision making, ie one who bases the analysis of the decision by letting the eventual outcome heavily influence the analysis.
Like when commentators praise a batsman relieving pressure by going down the track to hit a six, but criticising it when he misses and gets stumped. You can criticise/praise the execution, sure, but you canāt have it both ways with the decision. Really bugs me in all sports/life.
Also lol at (possibly a very small amount but still some) aussies still being obsessed with ācheatingā to get (reverse) swing.
Really love that heās being called out in the comments below, cricket fans are so level-headed.

England declared and gave India 50 overs to get a reasonable score, to make things interesting. The innings by an 19 year old on debut and centuries by both teams leading batsman was good watch. Why is it that when Australia are going through a bad patch, at any sport, do we have to try to have a go at other nations. Such bad sportsmanship The Rugby whitewash wasnāt Australiaās fault, it was the other team playing boring rugby. The cricket team canāt get a century between them, but letās talk down other players that make a century on their own. Pathetic

agreed. The article follows type by rubbishing England as if that is justification for Australia being poor.

+1 - Grow up. Itās test cricket not ātap and tickleā."
Well done Aussies
Although I get the impression āPrā isnāt an aussie
Kiwis have a great day at the office against Pakistan. Who, to be fair, arrived in the country, saw their only warm-up match completely rained out (in Nelson, of all places), and then suffered an earthquake. So not really ideal.
Anyhoo, Pakistan skittled for 133. Colin De Grandhomme taking 6 on debut. Pleased for the lad after a solid few years in domestic cricket. Also, that mustache: Recent Match Report - Pakistan vs New Zealand 1st Test 2016/17 | ESPNcricinfo.com
Jeet Raval, another consistent provincial performer, comes into the side as an opener in place of his mate Martin Guptill, and makes a decent unbeaten 50 after Latham, Kane and Rosco all went cheaply.
Colin of Bigman
Our small contribution to the Binnys, Bumrahs and Trevor Heads of this great game.
classic NZ cricket, blooding a 30 year old medium pacer
4 years after his only ODIā¦
Donāt hassle the big man.
If anyoneās still up NZ v Pak has just kicked off after most of Day 1 was rained out. Jeet Raval extending his batting average towards 200, Taylor hit 29* off 20 yesterday before the rain. Then the Aussie/SA match to carry us through 12 hours or so of non-stop ACTION.
