Yes another DS2 guy!
Played through the Sunken King DLC today. Such a satisfyingly designed area. I beat Elana after about 5 goes, it took me months the first time and I don’t think I did it solo. Am I gitting gud? To be truthful I got a bit lucky with her summons, no bell twat to contend with somehow. Dragonface was more tricky, there are too many parts of him that can fuck you up. Got him killed after 45 mins of trying though. Got the trio to do next, I am not excited.

I found that having Velstadt summoned was easier than the skellys as it he moves slower and it was easier to keep track of him.
I love the Sinh fight, always make a stop in that DLC just for him

Given up on the Gargoyles for now (a few hours ago). Such a great game, have gotten them mighty close. Jiggled the PS4 hard drive around and will add the other Souls games when they go on Sale again, the full prices are a contrast!, worth it I know but the sales are so regular.

Not a Souls game but a side scrolling shooter in a distinctive 1930s animation style, but kind of has the feel of learning Souls bosses.

Just had a stab at the red dragon chopping its ankle. It didn’t die but did drop Drake Sword which seems superior stat wise to Claymore +4. Ok to use this on Gargoyles as is or does it need levelling?
That’s a really good early game sword. Levelling is never going to hurt, but I wouldn’t bother taking it past +5 because you will get better weapons to spend the rarer stuff on.

Okay, thank you, the sword is as is at the moment and I haven’t +1’d it or anything but it seems to do a considerable amount more damage. Will eat then look at GG.
The key thing with the drake sword is the fact that at the start of the game it is very powerful and a great starting weapon but it does not scale with your stats so as you go through the game it will become next to useless as @riverwise said it will be overtaken by leveling up most other weapons that do scale.
