Also I’m pretty sure it’s impossible to do all quests, side missions etc and get a full completion first play through on the game without using the wiki or asking someone.

one of the absolute joys of Dark Souls (and things that make it better than Bloodborne) is that there are so many different, interesting and viable ways to play it. You haven’t played the game wrong by going sword and a board, it just means you can go full mage or something else entirely on your next playthrough!

WTF is going on!!

I ran past, am I meant to kill this big dude, seems passive but that orange thing keeps smashing me to smithereens.

get 1-2 hits in and then hide. Repeat.

I killed him, and his Jason & the Argonauts friends.

For now.

I’m stuck, there’s no illusional wall or anything, I went back and picked up all the goodies but can’t see a way forward.

Behind where the big dude was

Thanks. I got the bonfire. Phew.

Oh boy.

This prick ain’t messing around. Real nifty with his shield.

Regular enemies are all lunatics, near Brainsucker style and fake magic tortoise people, wow.

Is this still DS3 DLC you’re on?

I never did take down those two big fiery lads, should go back to them. Is there an area after them?

It is. I have got BIG problems here. I’m getting ripped apart. Can’t cope with the magic & violence combos.

Can’t believe that Black Hole Sun Knight respwaned, I’ve just dropped and lost SO MANY Souls that I’m actually upset in real life.

@shinymcshine I can only imagine there is more to come.

This is so hard it’s not even funny, then I get Invaded and I’m Hollow. WTF!

Yeah, I almost spent longer on this bit than some bosses! Terribly frustrating, but when you hit the bottom it starts to make a lot of sense and you get into the rhythm/find strategies. Have you got the chameleon spell? Might need that for a puzzle. The bit you’re going through is basically corridors full of unreasonably vicious enemies! Do suicide runs to get items. There’s usually a lot of summons around the bonfire too. Have you seen Lapp again?

I’m progressing but I can’t believe the enemies. They are ruthless, then these’s multiple of them. When I see more Black Hole Sun Knights I’m actually shitting myself. I’ve lost a lot of Souls here. It’s fantastic but I’m feeling out of my depth properly for the first time in a long time. I haven’t used any magic at all and am not sure I’ve met Lapp either.

Well there’s a balcony to the right of the bonfire that he should be on? He’ll tell you what he’s doing and what to look out for. It really is a horrible stretch and was probably the first time in the game I actually thought I could stop playing out of sheer annoyance. It just seems unfair. There are ways to deal quite quickly with the enemies though. The giant tree warriors do a belly flop that can be easily punished. I used Gnawing on those knights so I don’t know what a viable strategy would be for you. There’s so many of them as well!

I made the lake and the Prick Army turn up again. Unbelievable!!!
