(i wish i had used a better profile picture when uploading all these screenshots btw)

completed persona 5. assume the thing to do is complete it again but this time as a total slut

i’m tempted to do the same when i complete it - have stayed loyal to the correct romance choice (Makoto) this playthrough but doing the same on another playthrough would be super boring.

that said, i planned the same when i replayed Persona 4 though, felt a bit bad about it after picking up girlfriend number one and getting to the dialogue choices for girlfriend number two so abandoned it and watched the relevant social links/scenes on YouTube

I like the idea of a dodging build coupled with just heavy attacks - like a ninja with an ultra greatsword

I did dick around with Sever and the Zweihander for a bit, but my Uchigatana+9 was obviously much better.

I was committed to the doctor, having to turn down makoto was a bit heartbreaking though. shame you can’t get with the men as well, reckon iwai has a softer side

Yusuke should have been romanceable, he’s ace. haven’t done much on Iwai’s confidant beyond maybe a couple of levels - the requirement to have like level 4 Guts to start it put me way behind. will be fine on NG+ with the carried over stats, also look forward to giving stupid answers in class rather than the right one to get that sweet Knowledge point.

I spent most boss fights two-handing an axe with no trousers on for weight reasons. In fact, I spent half of Nioh with my character wearing a big nappy and no trousers. I think it’s my style.

yeah same, think I only got him up to about level 4 or something, but I did get to have a lovely afternoon in the park with him in that time so I’ll deffo hang out with a bit more on NG+. didn’t do anything at all with the twins, the arcade kid or the fortune teller so will have to rectify that this time too.

fortune teller is well worth the effort for the stuff she unlocks. did the twins but the ability they unlock by maxing them out (ability to fuse personas above your level if you pay for it) doesn’t appeal to me. i’m doing the arcade kid now solely for the Kindness points, seems really annoying and will pick literally anyone else over him if they’re available that day, i’m sure he’ll turn out to have a tragic backstory but nahhhhhhh fuck him.

ah see, that skill might come in handy if I’m gonna take down the mementos reaper. my only encounter with that kid was so he could teach me how to beat that one mementos shadow, can’t say I was in a hurry to hang out with him more. although, I wasn’t a fan of ryuji or futaba at first and I eventually grew to love those goofy bastards, so who knows, maybe he’s alright too

you can take the Reaper down really easily if you know the trick. i wasn’t planning on using it, but it all fell into place. i’ll try and beat him properly on NG+ or later as he respawns.

spoilers in case you’d rather not know and do it properly:

if you go to Mementos during flu season, there’s a chance that the enemies, including the Reaper, will start the battle with Despair and automatically die after three moves, so go in, find the Reaper, if he doesn’t have Despair run away,
repeat until he does and kills himself for you. i went in to do the game cheater request coincidentally during flu season and thought i’d do it while i was there, think everyone went up like 7 levels just from that fight and all i did was guard for 3 turns

The app looks really cool! Hope you’re able to finish it

Dreamfall Chapters is indeed, a crushing dissapointment. I finished it but it was painful stuff. Dreamfall was a big step down from The Longest Journey for me, but they really take the worst aspects of it and make them pretty grim.

Persona 5 i’m still loving. Just finished the third palace. 40 hours in and it seems like there’s a long way to go. I’m a little bit worried that I’m not doing a good enough job of maxing my social links… but I find it hard not to feel that way on a first run through Persona.

Some of my links I’m flying through - making the right dialogue choices and stuff makes a huge difference.

Look what I just found… gonna fire it up at the weekend, who wants to come round and play smash bros and eat get high on sweets till 5am?

What’s all this talk about The Surge? Sci fi dark souls clone?

Read some ok reviews - sounds like a slight twist on the ‘Souls-like’ formula (that’s definitely a ‘thing’) now like Nioh but, by the sound of things, less good. Stock enemies sound like they’re tougher, with less of a focus on boss fights and Nioh-levels of lack of story intrigue.
Gonna stick with Nioh DLC for and pray for BB2.

At the very least you’ll get another From Software game. Let’s hope it’s BB2 and not as shite as DS2.

I’ve still got so much DS to finish. I just don’t have the heart.

i feel like i’ve maxed out, or am close to maxing out, all the confidants that i wanted to - the rest can wait for next time round when they don’t need me to have max social stats to even talk to them
