A Gaming Thread For 2017

Yeah I’ve played it entirely on the gamepad so far. A package with the original games and DKCR (minus the motion controls) would be epic.

what sort of style/skills are you going with on your playthrough?

This. Lucky for me none of them I reallyyyy wanted.

I bought 4 in the end.

OTTP 18 (Sorry @anon5266188)
Motorsport Manager
Kingdom: New Lands
Westarado: Double Barelled.

I kind of regret the last one, because although I do want to play it, I can see it just sitting in my backlog with the hundreds of other things I bought on sales when I was less frugal.

Spelunky is incredible.

This post brought to you fuck only knows. But it’s about a quid fifty these days.

An IRC/Slack room I’m in still does the daily challenge for it every day.

I’ve never completed it.

Has anyone got a VR headset for PS4? I was looking at potentially splashing out on it, but my god it’s fucking expensive. Console & that with no extra games is basically £750+.

My bro got one, I had a go and was distinctly underwhelmed…

Think of the porn, though.

This is good news. What did you play with it?

The new Resident Evil. Didn’t spend long with it but it felt like there was such a reduction in graphics as a result of using it that it felt daft. Couldn’t imagine myself actually using one for anything other than novelty until the technology improves a lot…

they make me nauseous, so I’m kind of glad that I’ll never be able to use VR comfortably.

I just played the one hour demo that I downloaded ages ago. It was pretty good particularly liked the apartment fakeout at the beginning and then the space station reveal , and I’m tempted, but I should also play Dishonored 2 by the same people (I was really into the first). Anybody tried that?

Lost track in this threadof who’s on PC and who’s on console, but any PC master race Overwatch wankers looking for another team member you can get me on Turbomate#2789 :ok_hand:

I’d strongly recommend it, especially if you liked the first. Did you play the DLC for the original Dishonoured, as this one brings a few plot details from those extras (though I’d forgotten loads about them, myself tbh).

As well as it generally being fun and immersive and open in terms of how you tackle problems and that, it’s also got two really well-designed, quite experimental levels that are really imaginative and enjoyable to play through.

Guys, I’ve just been playing fan-made Dungeon Keeper 1 maps.

Cheers, I probably will give it a go next. It’s on the current Playstation Plus markdowns, think it’s only sixteen quid or something like that. I really liked the first one when it came out. I did do the DLC, but it was years ago, and these days I’m struggling to remember what I had for breakfast by this time of the evening.

Mini SNES looks cool. Starfox 2 built into it is a lovely touch too, as it’s never been released before.

Let’s hope they make more than 10 of them this time around.

I know right? I really want to make secrets of mana again so I might get it!
