Honestly I don’t know which approach is best. I often try to have as little fun as possible but when you think about it having fun in the moment exposes how pointless it is to care about anything so enjoying yourself is truly more nihilistic than being miserable. Those who are truly lost are condemned to vacillate between the two.

Not fun but banal
Been trying to remember all day what a fruit was called i noticed recently. Put some inane TV on and the woman in it was like “I’m making medlar jelly”

They’re quite interesting in that you have to sort of let them rot before they’re edible and they’re used a lot in old literature as an insult or i think to mean sex worker. Funny looking things. Never tasted one to my knowledge but look like squashed exploded pears
