Can you put travelcards onto contactless cards? I presumed they weren’t there with that yet.

trains are quite expensive, like £180k for one, so that’ll breach the £30 limit.

The real question is: Why the fuck don’t Sainos accept contactless yet? Get with the times you orange wankers!

no, but if you don’t need a travel card (hi) then it caps it as a 7 day travel card if you use it enough

No, you can’t. I’m not sure if they’re planning on that yet.

I hover when I use my phone, but tap when using my card. I’m a man for all seasons.

I like the idea of phone contactless in principle too, but wouldn’t use it exclusively for fear of dropping my phone on the way to the station/in the loo somehow. Wouldn’t want to create a single point of failure for travel/money/communication.

But I guess you’d (usually) have the card itself around too. And an Oyster card, which has auto-top-up from the same account as the card and the phone. Belt, braces and dungarees over the top.

Why are you making contactless payments on the loo?

Nevermind.

Give it time.

They can do that?

looks for jobs at TFL

Just get an NFC reader device thing and tap it on people’s pockets/handbags.

Dude at Asda AV counter got really shirty when I kept trying to present my contactless card at his none-contactless machine.

I wasn’t really listening properly and kept trying until he actually almost shouted “IT’S CHIP AND PIN. MATE.”

I looked at my little boy as if to say “ooh get this one!” but my little boy appeared to be on the cashiers side.

Good that you’ve somehow raised a child who’s already smarter than you

Children aren’t allowed round that side of the counter.
