Did you watch via a TV or mobile device? Tried a few options with my TV but it’s glitchy as hell. On my mobile and laptop it’s fine but crappy speakers.

Phone via Chromecast for me. Glitched/paused a couple of times before they started but was fine after that. Even though the Chrome tab on my phone kicked me out after a while it kept playing on the TV.

Do you need to have Chromecast on the TV? I’m a sad-sap when it comes to tech, kind of hitting myself in the face with a remote for most of this afternoon. Is it an app or a dongle sort of thing?

It’s a little thing you plug into your TV, but it’s probably built into Smart TVs already I imagine, I know it’s built in to my housemate’s Xbox

Managed to do it using TV Cast then a lot of playing around with the video quality to avoid overloading it with glitches. Pretty good all in all though prob not in the best frame of mind after all the faffing. Best for me were Transparent World, Night Crawler, Block Of Ice which may give an indication of what (Thee) O(h)sees I prefer. Some of it got just a bit samey with all short burst heavy rippers, prefer when they open out the groove a bit. I want to shave his Billy Childish 'tache off, haha.

got my download link through :fist:

looks like it’ll be on bandcamp for anyone who missed it

Watched from my Laptop but casted the sound to my stereo.
For some reason cast wouldnt work to my tv not sure why

Did this come through as an additional email to the ticket? I still can’t see how to get it!

It came through as an additional email yesterday, was at around 6 or 7pm for me. You should get it if you paid for the stream + download option. It was hiding in my Promotions tab on Gmail. Should be a bandcamp code in it.

That was a blast. Loved hearing some of the lesser played stuff. Carrion Crawler into I came from the Mountain is a world beating combo.

Still not totally sold on the new album with the zany sounds but it has grown a little. Made me realise how much of their early/mid 2000’s back catalogue I’ve still got to explore so will get to grips with some of the set pointers here. What a band.

Went down a youtube wormhole after and found this drum teacher reacts video. Was expecting a ‘holy shit’ initial reaction but was actually really interesting about the interplay and different roles. Both mostly seemed to be playing in union to this layman

Totally unrelated but the drum teacher sounds like Joe Exotic

How does a band like Thee Oh Sees start out? Like, turn up at a club with two kits, and the sound guy only has mics for one. Or even use a shared kit but bring an extra one. I used to get awkward looks when I’d want one more cymbal to the other bands.

They didn’t used to have two drummers. Added a second one a few years ago IIRC

So when they were already established and could call the shots?

What about King Gizzard? Same deal?
