strong and stable spread regulation

A light smear of mayo is as good as, if not better, than butter on the outside of a toasted cheese.

Mostly being used as a verb rather than a noun isn’t it?

No. Absolutely not. And believe me I put mayonnaise on EVERYTHING.

Maybe but that don’t make it right. We’re skirting very close to another concrete v aggregate bit of chat here.

No, it’s entirely fine.

Interesting! I definitely think it works but this sounds like a good excuse for a direct comparison.

It isn’t. It really isn’t.

wtaf?

(for the record: always butter. and yes, i fucking love putting a good layer of butter on a slice of bread and then some peanut butter. so fucking good.)

I don’t need excuses to load up on grilled cheese sandwiches, but you’ve just handed me one on a plate so… I’ll give it a smash. Soon.

Pure red zone vs white zone stuff here, mate.

For a cheese toastie I only butter the inside. I know this is not considered the norm but I find the outside does not need to be buttered as toastie makers are (usually) non-stick so it’s not needed, and having butter on the inside adds flavour.

hate peanuts isn’t it. peanut butter is like intensified peanuts. NOPE.

buttering ANY slices of bread in a sandwich is overkill.

nope

Under his feet!

WELL

Mayo - totally overused in sandwiches. Literally can’t buy sandwiches from most shops. I think its stupid as a sandwich spread, regardless. Okay for chips - bad for everything else.

Butter - see above.

Hummous - King spread

Nutella/Peanut butter - okay if not used in conjunction with butter.

Hummus (however you choose to spell it) is a dip, not a spread.
