really gives me a level of mistrust for an organisation if they haven’t got these basics down - like, am I going to have to tell them off in the contract negotiations or just quietly make the revisions in bold red strikethrough?

This happened to me at my last work, and after pestering and pestering, he then guested on my show as a co-host and started making music again, so it might happen.

Not yet told me new colleagues about my podcast.

Just back from a B&B cooked breakfast. We’re the youngest here by a good thirty years.

Today the main event is a stream train to Corfe Castle. Then probably a small hike to Old Harry Rocks, there is a small brewery based up there so that’ll get a visit too.

Whilst I’ve had fun driving around winding Country lanes, today will be a car free day.

My office is Paul, Paul, Chris, James, Steve, Steve, Steve. Tony and Timothy were the others involves in the report.

We have not got the basics down…

I rewrote the procedures in my last place, changing “chairman” to “chairperson”.

It’s so basic isn’t. So ingrained.

In fact, my wife pulled me up ages ago about calling everyone, even my girls, “guys”. Now I say “folk” but it’s awful eh.

our office is 79% non-male

my project team is me

I’m putting the project together with two outside partners - one a team of 3 who are 66% non-male, and the other a team of 5 who are 80% male but the boss is a woman…and still neither of these two teams seem to have got the basics down

oh well

Woke up too late for hotel breakfast dammit. Another day of training then heading through to London whereby my £130/night budget has only managed to get me a room in student accommodation :-1::-1::-1:

Sooo much work to do sooo much CBA

Personally I think guys is fine for everyone and I don’t mind it. I won’t stand for people calling women girls though and I’ll pull people up on it no matter how embarrassing it gets.

here in Sweden ‘folk’ is the actual word for ‘people’ so it’s kinda useful for me. Also ‘guys’ is a very much more gender neutral anglicism here than it is in the UK

Had a dream where I was at a music festival with @Bamnan. The only act I can remember seeing was Jemaine Clement doing really sombre solo versions of FOTC songs.

Off to Prague on Friday, anyone want to help me out?

Think we had to get the OK from on high to be able to book a decent hotel over budget this time. A Premier Inn.

Thanks UP.

There’s peaks and troughs. He just came into me and just cuddled me silently for the last fifteen minutes (thankfully I was on a conference call where I didn’t have to say too much!).

Grommets are mixed - his hearing is definitely improved, and one ear has cleared up already, although the other appears to be weeping a little bit - hopefully it’s not infected, but I think it’s too early to say. Adenoids are linked closely to tonsils, but reading around recovery is quicker for adenoids.

I’m in. Can play a range of instruments and can sing! List of covers looks good too!
