There’s a Premier Inn in Ware, but the nicest pub in the area is the Old Barge in Hertford. Both are a short walk to the train stations that link the two.

The Brewery Tap in Ware is good as well, if you wanted to stay local.

2nd the Barge, me dad swears by the Crooked Billet in Ware, and i always had a lot of time for the Old Cross Tavern in Hertford as well.
