Aye. I say forgettable because I have sort of good/scared vibes about the Rescuers, but I really struggle to remember any actual details, except for the slightly racist Australian sequel.

pinocchio is insanely good
must’ve blown everyone who saw it’s nut in 1940

Much like harry potter, star wars, etc. It’s only when people won’t stop banging on about it that it gets annoying

Turns out we’ve got a bunch of adults who like Disney films on the boards.

Currently on hour two of the heated arguments I saw that kicked this all off.

I’m intrigued by these ā€œagesā€ for the films?

There’s a pretty easy rule I think.

Walt alive - good
Walt dead for less than 10 years - good, but you can see they’re now cutting corners
Everything afterwards - a bit shit

BING SINGS

Nah, because that discounts everything in the Renaissance era which is arguably Disney’s peak. This is a good breakdown:

You spend your weekend playing games, I don’t think that this thread could ever have worked out for you.

The fuck is Tangled?

Do you think games are an inherently non-adult activity?

Not on my watch!!!

not just me, sorry. Well, they’re on the same level as cartoon films.

Really should have separated Golden Age and Silver Age, my bad.

My favourite cartoon is by Raphael (not the ninja turtle).

A take on Rapunzel…

Just my rule. I don’t think the 90s films are anywhere near the likes of Pinocchio in terms of art, animation, songs, characters or storyline.
