Like an idiot, I’ve just gone and booked a short break in Budapest and didn’t realise that this show was slap bang in the middle of it. Therefore I cannot go. If anyone missed out and wants to buy my ticket from me, give me a shout.

Aww

Playing the Islington tonight. Looking forward to it.

Also a new gig announced in July in Bethnal Green:

This was really good. Such a nice man.

Natural Light is still just the best.

It was a fun night!

He didn’t seem at all happy with his equipment - but everything sounded fine to me?

Bunch of new shows in July, mostly places he didn’t before

Never heard of that London venue

Think upset the rhythm are promoting it.

As I messed up and went to Budapest for the last London show, a nice jaunt down to the coast is definitely on the cards.

It’s in a railway arch under Cambridge Heath train station. It can fit about 300 people and is mainly used for club nights, but UTR have put on a handful of shows there in the last 6 months. Pretty decent overall, with a very good and loud PA. Rectangular room with a bar at one end and the stage at the other. They sell various craft beers that tend to run out quickly.

You going to Sneakys? I’ve never listened to him as Advance Base but I love loved a few CFTPA abums and there’s so few Edinburgh gigs I really should just go to everything even half decent.

Not sure - it’s a Thursday, which is usually tricky night for me, and he’s in Newcastle the night before at a venue right near my flat.

Would deffo recommend the most recent AB album. It’s imho his best since he switched names and also the one most similar to his CftPA stuff.

Sweet, will do!

Also, I listen to this about ten times in a row at least once a month. 2 minutes of perfection

I’m doing the Margate show on Wednesday having missed the London show earlier in the year due to double booking. Don’t really know what to expect, having never seen him live before. I’m no connoisseur of his work, only really know Etiquette in detail but have listened to Animal Companionship a few times. Looking forward to it though.

Always nice to see him live to be honest. Glasgow show was probably better than tonight, but still enjoyed it. Despite him knocking back my request!

White Jetta & True Love Death Dream were class.

Was that you who shouted out for Tom Justice?

Doing a live stream tomorrow (8pm UK time I think?)
