Result: AFC Muswell Hill II 2 - DiS FC 1 (1 - 1 at halftime)

Our goal was scored by @blind_pilot from the penalty spot after a foul on @waffle

Although the score might not reflect this, the match was our best performance for a long long time, and it was only down to some very tired legs in the dying minutes of the game that we ended up empty handed.

We will play this lot again, probably early next year.

Really enjoyed that, though I’m utterly broken today.

Thought we played well for long stretches, and kept things loads tighter than we usually do: the defence was excellent with James and Louis both having great games in particular. Think we left @elthamsmateowen a bit too isolated at times, but it’s understandable when our midfield was getting pushed back and doing a lot of the defensive work, and we could have nicked it if we’d have taken a couple of good chances in the second half.

Good work everyone, and bring on the next game (where I’ll hopefully be fit enough to run for more than 3 minutes at a time…).
