yeah genuinely nuts how well it does breaded stuff and you’re just using spray oil, couple pumps, bosh.
We’ve got this enormous thing that does air frying, slow cooking, pressure cooking and several other things. So far we’ve only used the air fryer for chips but we do use it fairly often (we use the pressure cooker function quite a lot too). The brand is Ninja Foodi or Foodi Ninja or something daft like that. It takes up a ridiculous amount of space but it is useful
Done and enjoyed these two, but also mostly use it for chicken wings and frozen food.

very very quick heating, less oil needed. good example would be aubergine. in the past if i split one in half, did an oil/salt/pepper rub and chucked it in oven, it would need 45 mins to get close to being okay, longer to be a little crispy.
Air fryer: two pumps of sprayed oil, 15 mins.
they’re basically just a small, more efficient fan oven, so anything you can cook in an oven will cook in them quicker and at a lower temp (assuming it fits anyway), thus costing a lot less in electricity
Yeah it gets things crispier, things are done quicker and at a lower temperature.
I’ve only got a small air fryer and is more efficient for when I’m just cooking for myself or only need the oven for one item. Don’t have the space for the bigger ones.
i have actually done a nut roast in t’fryer twice now and it works so well
I want one of these next
housemate has one. i’ve never used it. i took against it a bit because it used to take up a lot of counter space and he used to constantly unplug the kettle to plug it in which was annoying for a regular tea drinker like myself. also big bits of it taking up space in the sink waiting to be washed.
since the kitchen was redone there’s more space and plugs now so it’s no longer in my way, maybe i can find room for it in my life some day.
It’s coming today so may do!
I follow this guy and date all the stuff he makes so will try some of his recipes first
ah, missed that you haven’t got it yet!
i’ve not tried anything from it yet, really want to try the scotch eggs, but not got round to it
Be aware that as well as the unit itself being huge, it comes with a load of stuff including an enormous extra lid that you need to find space in the cupboards for. It already has a lid on it that you can’t remove so if you want to use certain functions you have to have that lid up and then the 2nd lid on. I can’t express just how much space the whole thing takes up, it’s absurd
It’s ok, I already have absolutely zero counter space so one more monstrosity can’t hurt!
Yeah this for sure. My friends has made oven cooking stuff a lot cheaper and quicker.
Not my fault you lot all block me!
just did a couple of hash browns in the air fryer alongside my lunch vegan sausage roll. Top notch again
That reminds me to get some hashy b’s for the freeze
I refuse to believe they work or are any good
I won’t be doing any research on this topic and won’t be open to having my mind changed, cheers
This is a downside
I’ve had mine for about 2 hours and I’m sold! It’s excellent.
