If you time it just right so you fall asleep at landing and wake up as the wheels hit the tarmac itâs perfect. Like someone invented teleportation.

Might set up a twitter account tracking their flights
Conversely, my trip today.
Leave house at 07:00.
Cycle 19 minutes to Basel airport.
Clear view of the runways from the lounge.
Take off at 08:07 (three minutes early)
Arrive at Berlin Brandenburg at 09:30 (twenty minutes early)
Clear view of the runways from the departures:
Just came back to Edinburgh via Dublin from Toronto.
Observations:
YYZ has a Rush themed bar. Which I missed as I was at the other terminal.
Had a two hour layover at DUB and was hungry. Bought 2 x âCroque Monsieursâ (basically 2 pieces of bread, a slice of ham with toasted cheese on top, badly reheated) and 2 small bottles of juice for ÂŁ27.50 (sterling). FFS.
EDI is a shithole now - grubby corridors, unclean toilets, badly organised and zero groundstaff. ÂŁ5.00 just to drop off or meet someone. Last time I flew into there (last month), the pilots had to escort passengers off the plane and across the tarmac as there was no one else available. Avoid.
Sounds like you got the perfect Dublin Airport experience. Massive kip of an airport.

It might be dark but thereâs clearly a massive plane blocking the view of the runway
