People were really angry about the whole synthesiser thing, weren’t they? In fairness I remember being initially bemused, but then I was 16 years old and not a music journalist. I guess it’s a reflection of quite how “rockist” culture was at the turn of the century.

Also, Kid A being 21 years old can fuck right off.
