Not a lot in the last 4 years since the release of Oh No.

You’re right, though, about Pull my Hair Back. One of my favourite albums of this decade.

In no particular order:

A Winged Victory: Atomos

Oneohtrix Point Never: Replica

Emeralds: Does it look like I’m here

War On Drugs: Lost in the Dream

Fennesz / Sakamoto: Cendre

M83: Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming

Holy Other: With U (technically an EP)

Errors: Have some faith in Magic

Hammock: Everything and Nothing

Seems I have mostly been listening to depressive ambient for a decade

I wanted to include something by the ones below but somehow they don’t have a single album that stands out – or if they have, it was released just before this decade

Wild Beasts: Two Dancers

King Creosote & Hopkins: Diamond Mine

Mew: No More Stories

Nils Frahm: Solo

Apparat; Walls

Lusine: A Certain Distance

Moderat: Moderat

Wild Nothing: Gemini

Good reminder. Need to stick my list in the poll thread

I’ve just looked in that thread, looks like voting is postponed until the new year, which is sensible. Just glad I didn’t miss it.

I’ve got a “longlist” of 50 albums lined up to listen to over the next couple of months, just so I’m more confident in my final picks. I’m glad it didn’t go ahead the other month tbf…I would’ve almost certainly picked albums I thought should be there (such as TPAB) over ones which have meant the most to me personally. The actual list will end up being a lot less diverse, but a truer reflection of my decade. I also probably won’t drop Benji given how significant it was to me.

I made my 100 list, then made a playlist of the best track from each. Been listening to it, and adding and removing stuff all over the shop.

Would recommend.

I think I’m pretty set on mine. My top 10 hasn’t changed anyway. Still shuffling things around in the spreadsheet from about 65 down though :joy:

Ghosteen making mine, otherwise I don’t think there’ll be any latecomers. The last couple of months have been great though.

I have I have a locked top 3 at the moment. Everything else is massively to play for keep switching stuff out on an almost daily basis at the moment.

Discogs have put together a list based on user data. Not clear exactly what they’ve done here - maybe the average ratings given to records? Anyway I think it’s a pretty interesting list just in terms of picking up populist as well as the highly acclaimed stuff.

Also you can buy the whole lot in one go for $5k if you so wish

Guess that’s why Benji isn’t on the list? It’d bump it up to $7k

Apologies for RAM I bought the deluxe version one Friday while pissed  Feel a bit responsible for this

" The most depressing repeat artist? [David Bowie] whose 2016 death is no doubt responsible for his *[Blackstar]

:face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Honestly I couldn’t work out wth this meant. Such a weird sentance.

2012 seemed pretty exceptional

I had no idea it was worth anything as thought his stuff was easy to come by these days. Just looked mine up at it’s 70+ quid so cheers for mentioning it!

You looking to offload it?

Maybe…hadn’t really thought about it. Its the last album of his i like. Make me an offer

It’s this pressing: https://www.discogs.com/Sun-Kil-Moon-Benji/release/6125335

Crazy that there were a few pressings of Benji but they were all stupid limited and go for silly money now.
I have it on yellow vinyl.
Mark should wise up and make things available to people who will buy them.

30?
