I don’t think the people who post on the Guardian comment pages are very representative of the wider readership. It seems to be pretty much dominated by five or six right wing trolls who’ve nothing better to do every day but post comments on how much they hate something nobody made them read in the first place.

Amazes me that people have time to waste reading a newspaper they don’t like and posting comments every day about how they hate it. I find it quite easy to just not read the Daily Mail because I already know how much I dislike it.

So, yesterday, I got as far as Yoko Ono’s 17 minute opus, Mindtrain, which is pretty darned good, so I’ll be checking out the Fly re-issue.

This morning, I have just finished hearing Tonstartssbandht’s Sorcerer, from the album of that name, which is an instant classic that I know @anon26275971 has been pushing on these very boards. S/he’s right! Lovely spaced out psychy goodness. Hmmm. So, I will also be finding time to check out the full album. (And they have only released 17 albums, so not much to see there then.)

Still plenty more stuff to check out from the Aquarium Drunkard list - the playlist has 101 songs and lasts is over 8 hours! So good! Thanks for the heads up @Gert.

I started watching that programme - made it all the way to the ‘first award’ which was best live act or performance or some such - Foo Fighters. Gave it up after that. Seems like it was more of a showcase for artists who’ve been on BBC programmes or live transmissions a lot rather than actually good music.

I like how so many of the commenters standard insult is to call other commenters Guardanista’s - so people who read The Guardian. Like they are.

That’s the BBC music award show which is basically their staff Christmas party, they probably have a vote amonst themselves to decide who they want to play at it.
