Dad now plays an iPod nano with all his faves on plus dad staples on cd: faithless greatest hits, massive attack greatest hits, sash greatest hits, tom petty greatest hits.

Has anyone mentioned that live dire straits album, Madonna’s ray of light or Tina turners Private Dancer yet? They all had their moments for sure.

The ones I remember are tapes of Sgt Pepper, Captain Beaky, and Burl Ives.

Oh, Barclay James Harvest live in Berlin that was constant

Tango in the night was the only thing my dad had in the car. I listened to that non stop for years. Just seeing the cover art gives me ptsd

All I know of this album is it predicted the 11th September 2001 terrorist attacks on the Twin Towers.

I bought the Ride Like The Wind compilation to channel the spirit of all Dads while I drive.

I C O N I C.

I have a playlist of swearing free hip hop. My son has a playlist which only has songs that have appeared on Marvel films (and Incredible by General Levy, just to mix it up a bit). Kids seem have no issue listening to about 10 songs on repeat.

The only cassette my Dad has ever owned (Spotify says 1999, but it’s more like 1985 I think)

and his only record (circa 1972)

Lots and lots of Beautiful South, every year on our annual trip to Cornwall. Wouldn’t change it for the world. Makes me nostalgic and emotional all at the same time. One of the more underrated of the well known/overplayed artists, I think.

Also Joshua Kadison, my Dad being one of only two other people I know who have ever heard of him.

And this, for reasons i’ll probably never understand.

Supertramp, Roger Waters solo, Sky…

In a Morris Traveller it didn’t make any difference since you could not hear it anyway!

Supertramp I still love.

Jessie’s a banger though tbf
