Side A: decent, self-written songs, mostly little vignettes about different people’s lives.
Side B: shite covers that gave an idea of what his career would be for the next ten years

It’s ok, it’s not a particularly rare or expensive record

I guess I’ll play the sequel record “Still Caught Up” instead

side A. 6 tracks of wondrous psych chamber pop

Side B. 1 20 minute track of interminable blues rock.

Could never quite bring myself to buy Neu75 because I only like 1 side if it.

You’re not saying which one?

Got to try and be a bit mysterious

Can - Monster Movie

side A. 3 tracks of crazed experimental garage rock.

Side B. Proto - Mago

Dragged Into Sunlight’s Widowmaker. Side A is slow, creepy and instrumental, Side B tears your face off with its heaviness!

Queen II (one of the few tolerable Queen albums) is split into side white and side black which have their own feel to them. I seem to remember the second side is a bit of a medley too.

Screamadelica, the most concentrated eccie buzz ever. Side A coming up. Side B coming down.

I think Gatecreeper’s latest mini album/EP “An Unexpected Reality” fits. The first side is all short punches of thrash and grind, and the second side is one long track of sludge/atmospheric metal.

Atom Heart Mother and Meddle by Pink Floyd - one side of each is a 25 minute “suite”, one side is songs (although that term is a little loose when applied to Alan’s Psychedelic Breakfast)

Sh#£-#_-++((&£#@@…this thread has killed vinyl! :slightly_frowning_face:

It was a rather thin 80s repress - although not as floppy as some 80s vinyl. A bit of flex might have saved it

Danny Brown’s XXX

Side A - Barked shock rap par excellence, Side B (dna onwards) - introspective smoulder. Honestly didn’t think it was the same guy first few spins.

Hounds of Love is the album that I listen to the most that would fall into this category

Side A: Hounds of Love
Side B: The Ninth Wave

Was gonna say Remain in Light, but it turns out that Once in a Lifetime is on side B! Never had it on vinyls, just assumed it was Punches/Crosseyed/Curve/Lifetime, then Houses/Seen/Wind/Overload because why would you put 3 songs on one side and 5 on the other aaargh

So that’s nearly A for bangers, B for weird stuff, but not quite. Probably that Eno’s fault
