He’s done an interview with the Sin (archive link below), which is an interesting read.

I’m aware there are serious child abuse/safeguarding issues, but this whole story just reads like a young adult fiction novel that I would have loved to read as a teenager.

Also, he sounds impressively level-headed, considering? At the very least, he seems amazingly resourceful, and his mum/grandad sounded like they were trying to do the “right” thing on some level, and that they were both doing things from a place of care/love, even if it was a fairly wrongheaded one.

Not really sure what I think about the whole thing, to be honest. Maybe just that this is possibly the “best” outcome for a situation where a kid went missing missing for 6 years?
