I know this isn’t the fashion thread, but  I want one too. Used to have an awesome fox print dress in my youth (it was a size 8, I am no longer a size 8).

Has the J-Lew Siesta been ruled out?

The majority of most people’s life is spent in or on one of those two things (also shoes), which might go some way to explaining why people put such stock in them.

That’s absolutely legit as an approach if it’s what you wanna do. But the first place we bought didn’t get kitted out in ‘nice’ stuff. IKEA Klippan sofas and lack tables were the order of the day. Both are great value for money. Which was our priority: spend the minimum so that we could save enough to make the next step and get a place that would be for the long term. Which ended up taking eleven years rather than the four or five we initially expected! But I’ve no regrets about holding back and ekeing out the life of that cheapie furniture cos it’s meant that we’re now able to get pretty much what we want without compromise (or guilt that we’re overstretching). But as you and @geoff said, there’s no ‘correct’ way to spend our money. :money_mouth_face:

After my made.com fiasco, I’m thinking of getting these

I have a white TV unit which is pretty big and like a cabinet so thinking it may be best to ditch that off for something more simple and have a sideboard too. I like the idea of sideboard for storage and to put nice things on top!

I didn’t know that Asda made furniture these days.

The age of adza industrial TV units

As if your home isn’t decked out top to toe in George.

I think our duvet covers are George @ Asda (with sheets from M&S, natch). Nice geometric patterns. Very good value. Would sleep again.

This has reminded me I bought a really nice george @ asda bed set in geometric and I can’t remember where I put it!

This has lead me to find the perfect thing for Mrs @epimer

She can’t drink coffee.

But its knitted AND it’s an owl.
and it goes with the set. Foxy tea and birdy sugar.

I’m not going to buy that.

Praying for you on secret santa

I’m not going to sign up to that.

I want this sofa, not sure I can justify the cost but I want it

You’d have to ban certain drinks from it’s vicinity, and people wearing dark blue jeans from sitting on it. Well nice though

Got another old letter off eBay. From a Little Chef. Replaced the bulb with LED lights.

Agreed to buy a bed yesterday which is by some distance the most expensive object I have ever bought and we won’t even get to sleep on it for three months.

Feel a bit queasy about the whole business now.
