Scott Pilgrim has an alternative ending that I like at first but now hate.
Kind of like the fact two endings exist for get out. Both are good. Should be easier to pick one depending on your mood.
stresses me out when films have alternative endings
i don’t wanna know about it tbh!
like when corrie films multiple endings to a big storyline to avoid spoiler leaks
oh right so what you’re saying then is that none of this is actually real
LOVE that film. They definitely made the right decision with the ending judging by that
TAKE ME TO THE HOSPITAL! I’M SICK!
It’s fucking ace innit
I haven’t seen it in ages. I really didn’t like it when it came out because I loved the books. After some time I got over that
I wonder if the animated series will follow the comics a bit closer?
Wait… What?!?
The alternative Army of Darkness ending is pretty good, Ash drinking too much sleepy juice and waking up in the future with everything screwed.
Hopefully that’s still a thing that’s happening and not one of those productions that falls apart and they expect us to forget about
Alternate Withnail & I ending that’s in the original story is bleak as fuck
Dr Strangelove was originally meant to end with a giant custard pie fight
skipped over this post then just read about the other ending in the guardian today - brb watching it
There’s some footage that was shot for that theatrical ending that thankfully never made it to the big screen. The awful ending could have been much worse with the addition of some horrendous dialogue.
I’ve had the Kingdom Of Heaven Directors Cut since release, but never watched. Meant to be one of the most miraculous jobs in turning something around.
Also got my hands on (and yet to watch) the unofficial Directors Cut fan edit of Blackhat from someone on Twitter. Mann screened it once and was later accidentally shown on TV once… someone then re-edited the original film to match. That too is meant to turn something turgid into something terrific.
That’s one I’ve been meaning to watch for ages, a couple of friends rave about the difference it makes. Must actually get round to it one of these days.
As I say, I don’t think it’s an ending that works at all for Die Hard but when you compare it with the rushed ending the scriptwriter put together after they get off the boat, it’s clearly much more thought through.
