I hadn’t thought about the smashing pumpkins in years before posting on DiS properly. Now I think about them constantly and they punctuate my dreams. It’s awful.
I mean no disrespect to people invested in them and enjoy the early stuff fine.

As a result of the constant Smashing Pumpkins chat on here I gave a good try at listening to the whole of Mellon Collie and I think I got over half-way. And it was better than I had expected, better than Siamese Dream I think. But still I am baffled by the intense popularity of this band who aren’t Radiohead.
