Classic Ridley had no idea what he was advertising, he claims.

Just watched one of those annoying ā€˜everything wrong with x film in x minutes’ things about Prometheus on YouTube, and it’s team under me of quite how stupid the film is

Has made me a bit angry all over again!

chill out, line-manager

Obvious 5/5 for Alien on its own, and for Thelma & Louise. Actually never seen Gladiator, and only saw Blade Runner in uni actually, need to do something about that.

Overall I gave him a 3/5 though based on what I know from his filmography

Hahahhaha let’s do Bergman then

Did T&L originate/popularise the ā€œmassively OTT number of police carsā€ trope? Obviously plenty of films had 5 cars chasing down one person or similar, but in terms of the finale having something like 30 cars hunting them down to the cliff, wasn’t sure if anything before it had pushed it quite so far

The blues brothers did it 1st

Not sure, but sounds about right :rotating_light: :rotating_light: :rotating_light:

Ahh good call

Well the poll results clear things up

Every time I vote for a director that director goes top of the list, and I can’t handle that kind of pressure.

We need it to be him so we can discuss the logistics of his claim to have had something like 20,000 sexual partners

Convoy did it in '78 & Vanishing Point in “71 - or something very similar at least

I’ve not seen either of those so I’ll have to take your word for it

3.41 for Nolan, and DiS’s favourite film is Memento.

3.4 for Scott, and DiS’s favourite film is Alien.

Bit of an upset to start us off, I’d say.

New thread on Tuesday!
