Reservoir Dogs - excellent, cracking soundtrack too.
Pulp Fiction - eh… fine? Not bothered tbh.
Four Rooms - not seen.
Jackie Brown - not seen.
Kill Bill 1 - great, that fight scene is mad.
Kill Bill 2 - poo poo poop.
Sin City - oooh quite like this one, but haven’t seen it in years.
Death Proof - shit pants boring, didn’t finish it.
Bustards - er… fine? Cannot remember much about it tbh. Yeah. Fassbender is in it though and he’s a dickhead.
Django - great, thought Christoph Waltz was exceptional in this.
Hateful Eight - enjoyed Walt Goggins a lot in this.
OUATIH - Bradley Pitts looks like a weird version of Scott Bakula circa Quantum Leap in this.

Don’t have time for the whole thread right now so will just say:

Absolutely cannot help it.

I’ll be back.

The end is the best part! The car chase sequence at the end is actually one of the most thrilling things I’ve seen in a film

@RoverHendrix Never read any Leonard despite it sounding like he’s right in my crime/noir wheelhouse. Will have to rectify this

I’d really recommend Get Shorty! Way better than the film. It’s years since I read it though

The combined cut of Kill Bill, with the chapters ordered as they were originally intended, is absolutely brilliant :+1:

Similarly, the longer standalone cut of Death Proof is slightly plodding, while the stripped down version in Grindhouse (and Grindhouse in general) is a lot of fun…

You had me going in the beginning there, nice try

Inglorious and Hateful should be even further behind, right?

this scene from 0:50 to 0:55 where tim roth introduces himself is a serious contender for my least favourite thing in all of cinema

His films are technically well made obviously but I find them completely soulless and uninteresting

I like Natural Born Killers a lot though…probably my favourite thing he’s been involved in

2/5

Just blatantly doing a Christoph Waltz impression isn’t he

somehow still never seen pulp fiction

get it watched, its great

Can anyone confirm if the Mike Myers scene in Bastards is meant to be serious or not?

Is he still making a Star Trek film? The reaction to that is gunna be weird

I’d probably enjoy that

It’s a shame he’s such a dick.

He has fine taste in music and films and can obviously ‘pay homage’ like nobody else.

Good filmmaker and I can’t help but admire his output.
I can’t really summon much affection for his films though which I can only assume is a byproduct of his obnoxious personality. I’m always aware of his presence lurking behind the camera.

4.5 (rounded down, having just clarified my own feelings to myself)
