Was away with a group of friends this weekend - got a seaside AirBnB in Lincolnshire which was great fun. Did an Asda delivery timed for when we arrived so we had loads of food and booze.

Got home last night and I’m working from home today so did a quick Asda online order for a delivery today. But managed to fucking set up the order to go to the holiday AirBnB (nearly 200 miles away)! Didn’t notice until this morning. Fuuuccckkkk

What happens if no one is in for the delivery. Do I have a chance of a refund? I spoke to a very unhelpful person at Asda who said it’s too late to do anything the delivery will just be rejected if there is no one there. urgh

Oh no! That Asda can’t cancel it is really shit. Hopefully it just ends up getting non delivered and you get the refund.

what’s daft is that the house is really remote and the nearest asda is miles away so it’s a complete waste of time and effort for the drive. stupid they can’t cancel it even if he is actually out in his van.

Can I ask here for someone to explain why everyone was so excited about this boxing match that happened at the weekend? My Twitter TL exploded with people who seemed overjoyed about this Joshua dude beating the man with a name I’d have to look up.

Any particular reason? Is everyone suddenly into boxing for some reason? @xylo? @anon5266188?

I’ve never given a shit about boxing, and watching it at home would’ve been incredibly boring. But I watched it in a rammed bar with my mates, and it was brilliant.

Work this morning and then I’m on strike again tomorrow. I haven’t worked a full week since March and we’re out two days next week if it isn’t settled.

Massive fight with a very likeable British guy involved is basically the sum of it. Boxing tends to attract people who aren’t into it for the big showpiece fights way more than any other sport IMO. I’m far, far away from being into boxing enough to have any bigger insight than that though.

Went to a wedding over the bank holiday weekend it was :fire:

Since I was up north I ended up checking out a 1900s museum of mining which was also fantastic although perhaps unsurprisingly mining was revealed as being a pretty miserable job in the late 18th century/ early 19th century

Today finally back to training as I’m over my flu.

stabbed a guitar string underneath my fingernail yesterday and now it’s too tender to hold down guitar chords so I won’t be recording today :frowning:

yeah there’s like a purpley-brown blotch under the nail now, thankfully it was a new string so hopefully no horrible diseases for me.
