Yeah the bass on those Smiths albums is incredible, and 59 is a tragic age to go. RIP

āSometimes one of the most radical things you can do is to speak clearly. When someone dies, out come the usual blandishments ā¦ as if their death is there to be used. Iām not prepared to do this with Andy. I just hope ā¦ wherever Andy has gone ā¦ that heās OK. He will never die as long as his music is heard. He didnāt ever know his own power, and nothing that he played had been played by someone else. His distinction was so terrific and unconventional and he proved it could be done. He was also very, very funny and very happy, and post-Smiths, he kept a steady identity - never any manufactured moves. I suppose, at the end of it all, we hope to feel that we were valued. Andy need not worry about that.ā

Feels a bit brass neck from a man who withheld the tangible monetary value of Andy Rourkeās work from him for so many years, and argued against his artistic value in court to say that.

I seem to recall the judge being even more withering about Marrās conduct and character than he was about Morrisseyās, which is saying something.
I cannot physically click ālikeā on words from Morrissey now, but those are actually nice words.
True. Morrissey has spent the years since complaining about how they robbed him blind tho. Seems like Marr made amends.
