My birthday is next week, so it always breaks up January nicely, but I’m probably just going to celebrate it in July instead this year, because I live alone and I’m in a tier 4 area, so got nowhere to go and nothing to do and the idea of a Zoom Party gives me the horrors.

Morning

Max dread ahead of another week of job interviews. Going to have a massive fry up in an attempt to distract my amygdala.

Started reading Gravity’s Rainbow to give me a goal for the rest of winter

Was just sitting wondering if ice on pavements has melted enough to allow for a run but it’s just started snowing.

The only way I normally get through The long cold dark January is by making plans for the year ahead, but there’s not going to be any of that this year

Our kid’s birthday is next week too and I was contemplating something similar, get all her pals together in the park or something when it’s warm

My parents did that for one of my birthdays when I was a little kid, maybe 4 or 5. Everyone was ill around my actual birthday so they did it outdoors in the summer instead

My thinking is that even under worst case pandemic scenarios by July we should be able to let them run about with a football and eat crisps or something

I also see the possibility of eating my words on this, smh 2020/21

Tree down flat looks empty. Sad day

Same! We always book a February holiday before Christmas to get us through this time of year so we would normally have something pretty decent to look forward to. Can’t even plan my wedding as everywhere is closed!!

Rocking the stylish look today lads

I am ANGRY. Why is there a cockerel on the front of this box of eggs, smugly grinning when he’s never, EVER laid an egg?? This is absolute bullshit and I’m genuinely gonna complain to the happy chuck company

Furious!!

Also I found out rick astley is English?? Because I saw a video of him power washing his bins and they’re english green wheelies? Always thought he was American and now I’m shaken to my core. Did a bit of googling and he was born in Lancashire! Also this is so rude

This is all too much.

Is it okay if I just stay in bed again

Yeah, he was produced by Stock Aitken and Watermen, who also did Kylie’s early stuff. The ruled the uk charts for years in the late 80s, but went unnoticed in the states

Next door neighbour told Dr Mrs Epimer that he’s getting a Nintendo Switch delivered tomorrow and is looking forward to playing Star Wars games on it. Might have found a kindred spirit there.

He’s 7 years old.

Got up, put my onesie on and ate porridge. That’s it so far.

Tomorrow is a bank holiday in Scotland @japes. So another day of dread.

Can anyone point me towards the mug thread from earlier in the year? Got a new entry to add

Having cheese on toast for lunch, topped with the last of my DiSmas secret Santa salami. Smells so good.
