Have started to notice that when Glenn Hoddle is co-commentating that he will always say something like “He’s really good” or “That was really skilful” and follow it with “He really really is” or “it really really was”.

Matt Baker ‘off of’ Countryfile says ‘I tell yer what…’ about ten times a show.

When he commentates on Gymnastics he will ejaculate ‘Whoa! Just look at that! Outstanding stuff!’ after every single dismount / routine before one of his co-commentators picks up in a normal tone of voice and unpicks the routine strand-by-strand.

I noticed Glenn often ends his comments with a question- “it was a lovely move, wasn’t it?”, “he hit it well, didn’t he?” - like he’s constantly seeking validation or approval. Quite tragic really, considering it’s usually Robbie Savage or Michael Owen sitting next to him.
