Sainsbo’s and Waitrose at least do a dragon’s egg, which is one massive and nicer scotch egg, so that’s something at least.

The veggie ones at the DiS-recommend Grain Store restaurant in Kings Cross are very good. £6 a pop.

Big fan of branston pickle with my Scottish eggs, the crunch works well (obviously a fancy scotch egg must have a runny yolk, and is therefore eaten sans condiment)

Burrito pricing has gone the same way as ‘posh’ burger pricing - take what was previously the cheapest thing on the menu, put a style premium on it and charge all sides as an additional extra = $$$
