Burrito + a can to go should NEVER cost more than £6
Talk To You Soon
oooh, ‘appen I could right guzzle a pair o’ scotch eggs.
Sainsbo’s and Waitrose at least do a dragon’s egg, which is one massive and nicer scotch egg, so that’s something at least.
not in a city centre sainsbo’s local EmO, not in a city centre sainsbo’s local.
They the spicy ones?
Picked them up from Co-Ops in the past too. Decent shout.
Yes! Maybe I was thinking co-op and not Sainsbo’s.
The veggie ones at the DiS-recommend Grain Store restaurant in Kings Cross are very good. £6 a pop.
Are you fucking trolling me here?
No meat and it’s over a fiver? fucking london
I really like those quorn mini ones. Nearly always in the reduced section for about a quid.
The staff at Grain Store get free neck & shoulder massages. Someone has to pay for that.
Favourite condiment with a scotch egg?
I’m going mayonnaise. Lots of black pepper is a given.
Big fan of branston pickle with my Scottish eggs, the crunch works well (obviously a fancy scotch egg must have a runny yolk, and is therefore eaten sans condiment)
##WAIT
How has this not been tagged #eggs
Burrito pricing has gone the same way as ‘posh’ burger pricing - take what was previously the cheapest thing on the menu, put a style premium on it and charge all sides as an additional extra = $$$
2 reasons mate:
I wanted to prompt a sense of intrigue with the title, not giving too much of a hint as to the content of the thread
I couldn’t work out how to tag on my phone (I started this thread while angrily searching for a single, non-fancy scotch egg (the search was not successful))
they’re not massive
making them yourself get some mustard on there. I’m telling you, game changer.
or, if you want to go for Japes’ excellent mustard advice, and my intriguing Branston suggestion, bosh a bit of piccalilli on it
Massive compared to your piss poor dual pack offerings mate.
i’d be a very happy boy if quorn scotch eggs were more widely available
