Pretty much any outside the Indo-European family! (Minus Hungarian only because I lived there). And I don’t know anything about Hindi, Urdu etc, which are still in the same family.

I did Ancient History & Languages as my BA, so lots of historical linguistics there, and it really helps you spot the patterns between similar languages and passively understand things easily.

My housemate just came home from Le Guess Who with more that twenty LPs. Just had Jonathan Richman on, then Betty Wright, now it’s Shopping. Fucking love my friends.

just looked up the best selling christmas toys
• an egg, that once rubbed for half an hour, a furby-like bird hatches from it. you can’t choose what bird you get
• a game where you say tongue twisters, against the clock, while you wear a mouth guard
• bop it, but it’s a sausage
• a watch that comes with cartridges that play different theme songs
• play-doh ice cream maker
• microphone with a selfie stick attached to it, you film yourself singing along to songs on an app
• whatever this is

Bruce is in luck. My boss is out the office for the afternoon so on he goes. I’ve tried on previous occasions but she can’t stand him! :neutral_face:

Most of the playlists are ones other people have made though… Mine are usually just like ‘Train to… 15/11/16’. I usually make them to very specific times then rarely if ever listen to them again whilst I’ve listened to most of those surprisingly quite a few times, usually at work.

Looking over your playlist’s though, I feel ‘Songs I like n things’ should be renamed to ‘Songs I like n tings’ :slight_smile:

And yeah I hugely disapprove of my Boss’ disdain for Bruce. She’s never given a reason why, just a ‘Oh god, switch it off will you? I can’t STAND Bruce Springsteen’… Usually she’s quite easy going with the music put on but this was one of the rare occasions. No need to put a hit on her…
