I’m (O) positive I know what mine is

is 0+ the good one or the boring one

  • Type O positive blood is given to patients more than any other blood type, which is why it’s considered the most needed blood type.

  • 38% of the population has O positive blood, making it the most common blood type.

  • O positive red blood cells are not universally compatible to all types, but they are compatible to any red blood cells that are positive (A+, B+, O+, AB+).

  • Over 80% of the population has a positive blood type and can receive O positive blood. That’s another reason it’s in such high demand.

  • In major traumas with massive blood loss, many hospitals transfuse O positive blood, even when the patient’s blood type is unknown. The risk of reaction is much lower in ongoing blood loss situations and O positive is more available than O negative. Type O positive blood is critical in trauma care.

  • Those with O positive blood can only receive transfusions from O positive or O negative blood types.

  • Type O positive blood is one of the first to run out during a shortage due to its high demand.

I am a very tasty option for midges/ mosquitos.

Tried citronella oil and soap in Mexico which didn’t really work, although the oil was better.

I use Boots own bite cream when the onslaught begins.

I’ve never been bitten by anything (I am very lucky) but my GF gets destroyed by any biting insect. I wonder why I am impervious and she is insect food?

I used to hardly ever get bitten, but now I’m a feast. My legs and back got massacred a few weeks back when I spent some time in the sun down the allotment and also in the back garden. Definitely some mozzers, but probably also some ants. I scratch them a lot, bleed and scab a lot.

Used to get bitten a lot until my 20s, but now rarely do. Don’t know what’s changed!

I must be delicious because they bite the crap out of me every year. Also I think I’m allergic to them, to boot, as the bites always swell up quite a bit and have rather a large red area around them.
I cope by being a bit of a masochist and slightly enjoying the delightful agony of scratching them.

Also I rub sudocrem all over them which is how I got my summer nickname from @avery which is NSFW.
